Tim Wood of Selma, has been appointed to the Alabama Conservation Advisory Board by Governor Kay Ivey.
Wood, the general manager of the Central Alabama Farmers Cooperative in Selma, has been actively involved in outdoors recreation and the industry that is supported by hunting and fishing in Alabama.
Wood currently serves as one of four co-chairs for Hunting Works for Alabama, a grassroots group of people who inform the public about the enormous impact hunters have on the state’s economy.
Wood, a member of the Alabama Agribusiness Council Foundation and a state board member with the Alabama Wildlife Federation, was a three-year letterman in football at Auburn University. Wood will represent Congressional District 7 on the Conservation Advisory Board. His appointment expires on Sept. 30, 2023.
Wood is married to the former Susan Jones of Selma. They have two daughters, Blaire and Elizabeth.
